The Dingeman Family Faculty Connection, Education in San Diego, CA

The Dingeman Family Faculty Connection (FFC) is an IRC 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of a group of volunteer parents and faculty staff. However all parents of Dingeman students are, by default, FFC members and are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.

Our purpose is to enhance the education, citizenship, health, safety and welfare of our students by providing funding, resources, supplies, services, support and enrichment opportunities.

In order to accomplish our purpose, we hold an annual pledge drive at the beginning of the school year and other fundraisers throughout the year as well. All monies raised by Dingeman FFC stays at Dingeman. And since FFC is run by volunteers, we always appreciate your time and help as well.

With the support from Dingeman families and community partnerships, we will continue to provide many enrichment programs such as grade level field trips, Art Corp., music classes, technology, Family Science Night, Family Art Night, educational assemblies, Cardio Club, Honor Choir as well as support basic school and classroom necessities.

Though every Dingeman parent is a FFC member, the organization is run by Board members and Committee members.

Curie Elementary PTA, Education in San Diego, CA

My name is Cara Ramsey and I am thrilled to be a part of the Curie family. Curie is known across the district as a warm and welcoming school with a fierce dedication to academic excellence. As your newly appointed principal, I look forward to working collaboratively with our students, staff, and families to provide the best educational experiences for all of our children.

I grew up in Burbank, Ca. My brother, sister, and I grew up living and breathing education. Our school day was never over as we went from our classroom teachers, to our mom and dad at home who also happened to be educators. Our dinner conversations, weekend activities, and family vacations were all steeped in education to some degree.

I attended The University of San Diego where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Diversified Liberal Arts with a concentration in Marine Biology and a Multiple Subject CLAD Teaching Credential. I have a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies, and an Administrative Credential through the Educational Leadership Development Academy at USD as well.

I began my educational career as a classroom teacher. My first fifteen years with the district I taught second through sixth grade. Before coming to Curie I was at the District Office for a year in the department of Leadership and Learning. I served as an English Language Arts Common Core Cluster Support Teacher for Area 4, where I served 20 schools sites supporting principals and teachers in collaboratively defining and executing their literacy goals.

As I said before, I am a firm believer in working collaboratively with students, staff, and parents to build and maintain a strong learning community. I am dedicated to making sure that our work here is meaningful and productive so that our students continue to receive the strongest comprehensive education possible.

Fisherman’s Processing, Foods in San Diego, CA

Today’s angler realizes the importance of fisheries management and understand that more isn’t better. Customers now take less fish, but demand a higher standard in the way their catch is handled. From state-of-the-art RSW storage to the finest procedures in the processing of their catch – they’re guaranteed no finer product for their tables!

Since 2010, We’ve set the bar for sport-caught fish processing. Conveniently located in Liberty Station, 1.2 miles from the sport fishing landings, we have positioned our processing facility to provide unparallelled service across the full range of products offered to the angler returning with their catch.

For the past 8 plus years of owning and operating Fisherman’s Processing, we have been constantly told: “you need to sell this stuff” when it comes to our smoke and jerky. Well – the time is finally here. We’ve been listening and waiting for the right opportunity to branch out into a more retail environment.

This is the same special in-house recipe that the sportfishing customer gets on his sport caught fish through Fishermans Processing – but by using commercial fish that we have purchased wholesale, that now allows us to offer it up for retail to you. The prices will vary a bit based on the wholesale market prices we pay.
